Mental Health Screening

A short, confidential first check to see whether more support could help.

What it is

Screening is a quick way to look at how you have been feeling and coping. It is not a diagnosis. It helps you and us decide whether a fuller assessment or therapy would be useful.

Who it may help

  • Anyone unsure whether what they feel is worth getting help for
  • Someone who has felt low, anxious, stressed or overwhelmed for a while
  • A parent or caregiver concerned about a teen's mood or behavior

What happens

We share what we saw and suggest next steps.

What you can expect afterward

You leave knowing where you stand and what options are open, with no pressure to continue.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services right away. Screening is not an emergency service.

Questions about mental health screening

Is a screening the same as a diagnosis?

No. A screening points out areas that may need attention. A diagnosis needs a fuller assessment.

Do I have to continue after a screening?

No. The next step is always your choice.
